Waimea Canyon

For my last blog, I’m sharing my mini get away experience in Kauai few days ago. It was my first time to visit this beautiful “garden island” with my family. There’s so much beautiful and greenery place that I’ve seen but there’s one place that really get my attention which is Waimea canyon also known as “the Grand Canyon of the pacific”.  Waimea canyon provide wonderful panoramic view along the area. The place is so refreshing and really good for relaxation, it’s a must place to visit. Definitely going back to visit this place.

Kalihi ice ponds

It was a gloomy Tuesday when my friend took me to a little hike adventure nearby kalihi valley they called it “kalihi Ice Ponds”, and it was my first time to visit this place.

The place is a short hike and easy, friendly for a beginner. But the path is a little bit muddy and slippery. And, the majority in this hike is just an incline up paved road and then going down a steep trail to the water falls. However, once you get into the water falls it’s all worth it.

Overall, It was a great fun experience.

Makapuu Light House

t was a beautiful day morning hike during Thanksgiving Day at Makapuu light house. It was moderate climb with loads of nice winds in the morning around 7-8am. Paved path with a double incline all the way up with the gorgeous views of the ocean and the southern shoreline. From the top, you’ll see the historic red-roofed Makapuu lighthouse view and also see Moloka’I and Lana’i. Overall, it was a good hike and great views.

Hilton Hawaiian village- fireworks

This Friday was just a chill night outdoor activities with my friend. We decided to stay on the beach to watch the beautiful fireworks display at Hilton Hawaiian village. And I can say it was a fun and super enjoy night with my friends; had a mini picnic during the night, eat some food while watching the fireworks. This kind of night is a really good for relaxation and its stress free.  Must try.

Ehukai Pillbox

Early Thursday, we went for another hike with my high school friend at ehukai pillbox also known as   Sunset Pillbox Hike. This place is located on the north shore, Haleiwa side; behind the sunset elementary school.

I can say It was a great and quite trail. There were so many great views from each pill boxes. The trail isn’t too hard, it’s a little steep at first but it evens itself out and the views are worth it. it was nice to see the bunkers that soldiers worked in. All in all, great hike, beautiful trees and great views of the Northshore ehukai beach.

Diamond Head

This week I went to hiking with my sister at Diamond Head. It was a good place to hike because it’s an easy one. The trail is a mixed of stairs, tunnels and concrete bunkers. The best part is when you get in to the top, views are very rewarding and beautiful. You can see the lighthouse, beaches, gorgeous oceans and the city view.

I would say it was pretty good experience. The place is very friendly; you can see a lot of tourist around the area.  Some foods and drinks are also available and Souvenirs too!

One of my fave, never get tired of revisiting this place.

Ala Moana and Magic Island

Last Wednesday before the sun goes down, I went for a short run around ala Moana park and magic island. It was my first time to visit this place and I can say it’s a really nice place for sun rise or sunset and also picnic activities.

The place has a network of the sidewalks throughout the park and throughout the magic island which allows you for a good walk or jog along the beach. And also, you can see the beautiful view of the alamoana beach and Waikiki beach.

All over, the place is good for outdoor activities.
